The right support for children and families can bolster resilience and allow them to thrive no matter what challenge they face. I use a strengths-based approach to use what already works well for a child or within a family system as a foundation for further growth and development. I focus on somatic and neurologically based strategies grounded in attachment and an understanding of neuroplasticity and the brain's ability to change and heal. I also focus on creating actionable plans that enable families to be confident in their best next step. I find it extremely important to involve children in transparent and open ways at age-appropriate levels.
