Early Developmental Assessment / ASD

Ages 18 months - 5 years

This evaluation is designed for toddlers and preschoolers when there are questions about early development or possible autism.

This evaluation may be helpful if your child:

  • Has delayed speech or language development

  • Shows differences in social interaction or play

  • Has strong sensory preferences or sensitivities

  • Engages in repetitive behaviors or highly focused interests

  • Struggles with transitions or regulation

 

Areas evaluated may include:

  • Communication and language development

  • Social interaction and play skills

  • Early cognitive and developmental abilities

  • Sensory processing and regulation

 

The goal of this evaluation is to help families understand their child’s developmental profile and identify appropriate early supports and services.

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

Ages 5 - 12

This evaluation helps determine whether a child meets criteria for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

 

This evaluation may be helpful if your child:

  • Has difficulty with social communication or social understanding

  • Finds it hard to read social cues or understand peer interactions

  • Shows repetitive behaviors or strong focused interests

  • Experiences sensory sensitivities

  • Struggles with flexibility or transitions

 

Areas evaluated may include:

  • Social communication and interaction

  • Nonverbal communication and social understanding

  • Sensory processing and regulation

  • Behavioral patterns and interests

 

The evaluation integrates developmental history, structured assessment, and clinical observation to provide a clear and thoughtful diagnostic understanding.

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

Ages 6-12

This evaluation focuses on understanding attention, impulse control, and executive functioning.

This evaluation may be helpful if your child:

  • Has difficulty sustaining attention

  • Is easily distracted or forgetful

  • Struggles with organization or completing tasks

  • Is highly impulsive or constantly “on the go”

  • Experiences frustration or emotional regulation challenges

 

Areas evaluated may include:

  • Attention and concentration

  • Executive functioning skills

  • Working memory and processing speed

  • Emotional regulation and behavioral control

 

Information from parents and teachers is included to understand how attention differences appear across environments.

ASD + ADHD

Ages 6-12

Some children show characteristics of both autism and ADHD, and it can be difficult to determine which differences are contributing to challenges.

This evaluation provides a comprehensive assessment of both conditions within one evaluation.

​

Areas evaluated may include:

  • Attention and executive functioning

  • Social communication and social understanding

  • Regulation, impulsivity, and activity level

  • Cognitive and learning profile

 

This approach helps clarify overlapping symptoms and provides integrated recommendations for school, home, and therapeutic supports.

Learning Disorder

Ages 7-12

This evaluation helps identify whether a child has a specific learning disorder affecting academic skills.​

This evaluation provides a comprehensive assessment of both conditions within one evaluation.

​

Areas evaluated may include:

  • Struggles significantly with reading, writing, or math

  • Works very hard academically but continues to fall behind

  • Has difficulty retaining academic information

  • Becomes frustrated or avoids schoolwork

  • Experiences significant differences between tested abilities and achievement

 

Areas evaluated may include:

  • Reading, writing, and math skills

  • Cognitive processes related to learning

  • Working memory and processing speed

 

The evaluation helps clarify why learning is difficult and provides recommendations for targeted supports and school accommodations.

Combination

Ages 7-12

Learning disorder evaluations can also be combined with ADHD and/or ASD.
